The EXPO Academy project at CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2024. Spring offered the Workshop on Effective Psychological Techniques of Working with Objections and Manipulation of Customers in Clothing and Footwear Shops. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and Wconsulting.

The workshop was held by Evgeniy Danchev, an expert on increasing sales in the fashion market, author of the Practical Guide to Increasing Sales of Shoes and Accessories, and creator of an online school for fashion market managers. Based on his experience in the fashion market, the speaker spoke about the various manipulations to which customers resort in clothing and footwear shops, and to each of them picked up effective ways to resist them.

According to Evgeniy Danchev, shop attendants are very afraid of hearing objections from their client. Their knees literally tremble when they hear the word ‘expensive’. However, the buyer's objection is only a consequence. The cause lies in the seller, who focuses on the price of the product rather than its value.

In addition, the speaker spoke about the importance of believing in your product, compiled a frame of reference that demonstrates the best ways to protect against customer manipulation, and gave many illustrative examples of how the buyer's mindset works.
