The Khimia 2022 International Exhibition for Chemical Industry and Science, which will be held at Expocentre Fairgrounds from 31 October to 3 November, will be accompanied by a comprehensive conference programme. It includes more than 30 events that will allow representatives of the chemical sector, industry science, business and authorities to discuss key issues of import independence and technological sovereignty of the Russian chemical industry and its development in the new economic environment.

The centerpiece of the event will be the 10th Moscow International Chemical Forum, which will bring together representatives of the chemical sector, industry ministries, industry associations, and the scientific and expert community. The event is organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chemists Union and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The Forum will be opened by the Plenary Discussion on the Technological Sovereignty and Development of the Russian Chemical Industry in the Current Economic Realities. It will be attended by members of the State Duma, representatives of relevant ministries, the Russian Academy of Sciences, leading universities, heads of the Russian Chemists Union, major industry companies and financial organisations.

A comprehensive discussion of the strategic development of the industry, state regulation and support for chemical enterprises will be held at the events such as: Panel on the Mechanisms for Forming and Implementing Industrial Policy in the Chemical Industry, Panel on the Regional Development of the Chemical Industry in Russia, Strategic Session on Key Areas for the Development of the Chemical Industry, Workshop on Financial and Credit Measures to Support Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

During the industry sessions ‘Chemistry for Road Construction’, ‘Chemistry for Farmers. Ecology and Food Safety’, ‘Chemistry for Housing and Utilities', professionals will share their experience and expertise in the use of innovative materials and technologies that have a positive impact both on the economy and the environment.

The highlight of the exhibition's conference programme will be the Panel on Robotisation of the Chemical Industry, organised by the Russian Association of Robotics (RAR).

The Panel on Russia – Iran: Cooperation in Chemistry and Petrochemistry and the Discussion on the Supply of Substitutes of European Raw Materials from China to Russia Under Sanctions will be devoted to strengthening cooperation with friendly countries.

The conference programme will also include discussions on digitalisation of the chemical industry, chemical logistics, commercialisation of research, environment and safety of chemical products, laboratory accreditation and equipment.
