As part of the EXPO-Academy project of Russian Health Care Week 2022, the Forum on Health Resorts and Spas: Wait or Act Now? has taken place. It was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with the AMOS Association of Hoteliers, the Apparel consulting company. 

Event moderator Valentin Shubin, an expert in the field of tourism, noted that the forum is part of the conference programme of MedTravelExpo 2022, which in the five years of its existence has become a platform for dialogue, exchange of experiences, meeting of professionals and new partnerships. 

The forum was attended by Sergey Shpilko, honorary president of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry, Svetlana Moiseenko, deputy head doctor for organisation and development of medical care at the Lomonosov Moscow State University Hospital, and Sergey Poluyanov, director general of the Crimean Wave travel company.

The participants talked about current trends in the industry. They identified the issues that need to be addressed in the current environment. In particular, as noted by the forum participants, the closure of European tourist destinations has contributed to the emergence of a new format of consumers in Russian health resorts. This forced the Russian health resorts to reconsider not only their approach to service, but also to form new health offers.
