The organising committee of the Inclusion-Expo Rehabilitation, Accessible Environment. Assistive Technologies international forum met at Expocentre on October 25. The forum will be held on December 4 within Russian Health Care Week 2019.
"The Inclusion-Expo forum fully meets the tasks set by the Russian President and the objectives of the Health Care and Demography national projects from the angle of creating accessible environment and equal opportunities for disabled people," Tatiana Batysheva, the chairperson of the organising committee and chief free-lance specialist of the Russian Health Ministry for child rehabilitation, said in her opening remarks.
The forum will have sections on prevention of child disability, provision of disabled persons with rehabilitation means, social adaption of disabled persons of any age, professional orientation and employment, digital technologies, and adaptive sport. The forum will include a conference on accessible tourism, "My Story of Success", and other events. "Obviously, the Inclusion-Expo forum is a strong project, which will unite experts from various spheres and, hopefully, will be the platform for interagency cooperation aimed to help people with disabilities," Batysheva said.
Ekaterina Bednova, Deputy Chairperson of the organisational committee and Head of Expocentre Exhibition Operating Management, greeted the meeting participants and underlined the importance of the forum's theme. In her words, Expocentre is ready to provide all resources in its possession for successful holding of the significant event in order to make it effective and comfortable.
Inna Svyatenko, First Deputy Chairperson of the Russian Federal Assembly's Federation Council Social Policy Committee, took part in the meeting of the organising committee. She said she was sure that the forum would give an impetus to extensive efforts across Russia.
According to Tatiana Batysheva, the forum will start with a plenary meeting and continue with the meeting on Prevention of Child Disability by the Example of the North Caucasus Region."
Maria Gordeyeva, Board Chairman of the Fund for Support to Children in Difficult Life Situations, told the audience about the topic of the joint meeting of working groups to be held at the forum.
Andrey Dydykin, Deputy Director of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade's Department for Development of the Industry of Socially Significant Goods, said that the forum would sum up the results of implementation of the ministry's measures aimed to develop Russia's rehabilitation industry and support domestic producers.
The Russian conference on the development of accessible tourism will take place as part of the forum. Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze prepared the conference's agenda.
The meeting of the organising committee was also attended by Mikhail Dymochka, chief federal expert for medical and social assessment of the Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection's Federal Bureau for Medical and Social Assessment, Alexander Zhuravlyov, deputy department head of the Social Insurance Fund, Flyur Nurlygayanov, first deputy chairman of the Russian Society of Disabled Persons, Nadezhda Lobanova, chairperson of the Russian Society of Disabled Persons, and other acclaimed experts.
