Russian Health Care Week was successfully presented at the “Women: Global Mission in the New Reality" forum, which took place in St. Petersburg on 13-15 October 2021.

The forum is traditionally organised by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

More than fifty different events were held at the forum in 2021. Key discussions focused on the new role of women in ensuring global security, social progress, transition to new models of economic growth, development of healthcare and high-tech industries, and solutions to global environmental and climate problems.

Anna Sadovnichaya, Deputy Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, took part in Health Culture Breakfast. Woman, Family, Society organised as part of the Year of Russian-Japanese Interregional and Twin-City Exchanges on the margins of the forum with the participation of the Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development.

The event was moderated by Elena Voytsekhovskaya, host of the TeleDoctor programme on the Doctor channel.  The event was attended by Consul General of Japan in St. Petersburg Yasumasa Iijima, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova, the wife of Ambassador of Japan to Russia Hiroku Kozuki, President of the Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development Ekaterina Dibrova, Chief Out-of-State Plastic Surgeon of the Russian Ministry of Health Natalia Manturova, Director of the Placental Association of Clinical Medicine, member of the Japanese Anti-Aging Medical Association Chiharu Watanabe, Professor at the Anti-Aging Medicine Research Centre of Doshisha University (Kyoto), Board Member of the Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, Board Member of the Japanese Anti-Aging Foundation Yoshikazu Yonei, CO-KATOKU Professor, Master of the Omote-Senke School of Tea and Sumi-e Japanese Painting Midori Yamada.

Anna Sadovnichaya spoke about the importance of developing scientific and business ties as part of building good neighbourly relations between Russia and Japan and a healthy society in our countries and spoke about cooperation with Japan and the events of Russian Health Care Week, which this year became a federal event of the Year of Science and Technology in medicine.

 “EXPOCENTRE's motto is “Demonstrating the Future”. And indeed, at our sites, as in a Russian fairy tale, sometimes you can come across something that does not yet formally exist, according to documents - those innovations, technologies and devices that will be used in a few years,” the speaker stressed. According to her, EXPOCENTRE AO has always been a launching pad for talented young people, the company pays special attention to work with students, young scientists.

"Today we are talking about health culture, and I cannot but mention one of Europe's oldest congresses devoted to this topic - our own project, which has been held since 1974 - Russian Health Care Week. Our venerable academics joke that they remember Russian Health Care Week as students," said Anna Sadovnichaya in her speech.

The discussion was also attended by Inna Svyatenko, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, Elena Bibikova, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, Oksana Drapkina, Director of the National Medical Research Centre for Therapy and Preventive Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health Care, Veronika Minina, First Deputy Governor of Novgorod Region, Evelina Zakamskaya, Chief Editor of the nationwide medical TV channel Doctor; and Anastasia Stolkova, First Deputy Development Director of the Roscongress Foundation.
