From October 6 through 10, the 39th edition of the Gulf Information Technology International Exhibition – GITEX Technology Week 2019 – will run in Dubai. This event is the main in the global IT industry. In 2018, GITEX brought together 4,800 exhibitors and about 150,000 visitors from more than 140 countries. GITEX Technology Week traditionally becomes a place of world premieres and presentations of new products in the IT and telecom industries. A comprehensive supporting program featuring numerous round tables, conferences and seminars draws attention of leading industry experts and market leaders.

The area of information and digital technologies is one of the priorities for cooperation between Russia and the UAE. Year after year Russian exports of software and IT solutions are growing not only to the UAE, but also to other Gulf and North Africa countries. Total expenses for IT will increase up to 168.8 billion US dollars by 2020.

Since 2017 Russian Export Center AO has annually organised the Russian pavilion under the slogan "Made in Russia".

In 2019 the Russian national pavilion will be represented by 27 companies on the total exhibition space of more than 400 sq m.  The participants are advanced innovative companies such as Infinet, Eltex, Speech Technology Center, Trinity Solutions, T8, Getmobit, PROTEI, EuroMobile, Brainysoft, Qrator Labs, Nanosemantics Lab, plus many others. They will present the latest Russian developments and solutions in telecom, information security, artificial intelligence, software, multimodal biometrics, business process optimisation, plus many others. The pavilion is operated by Expocentre AO.

For the second time Zecurion will demonstrate its solutions for internal threat protection and information leakage. According to CEO & General Manager Alexey Raevsky, GITEX is the best trade show in the global IT industry with a wide thematic coverage, participation of world-renowned industry players, and proactive potential partners and customers.

"Dubai is a kind of hub of IT market of the region. When you come to GITEX, you have an opportunity to network with potential partners not only from the UAE, but a number of countries up to and including Latin America, as our participation experience shows," says Alexey Raevsky. "Our debut at GITEX in 2018 greatly exceeded our expectations. The visitors had a lot of specific requests. After negotiations, we have signed agreements with distributors. Participation in GITEX is really appreciated among potential customers and raises the status of your company."

It is worth mentioning that the UAE IT market value for the Russian business lies in its size and ample opportunities. Over the last few years we have gained positive experience working with the Emirate partners and representatives of the Gulf region. And yet the potential for promising developments of Russian IT companies does not diminish by virtue of their competitiveness, flexibility of solutions and proposals as evidenced by the results of participation of Russian manufacturers in GITEX in previous years.
