Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has sent a welcome address to the organisers, exhibitors and visitors to the 29^th edition of the International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering and Building Automation – Elektro 2020 – held at Expocentre Fairgrounds on June 8–11, 2020.

“Over the years Elektro has become one of the largest events in the electrical and power industry of Russia and the CIS. It is a highly respected platform for demonstration of accomplishments and developments, exchange of experience and know-how, and discussions of the most relevant issues of this advanced and innovative industry,” says Mr Sobyanin.  

According to the mayor, today there are more than 40 large and medium enterprises in Moscow, which manufacture almost 10% of all electrical equipment of Russia. The Moscow government pays great attention to education and training of electrical and engineering staff for industrial enterprises, whose efforts and advanced developments in the lighting industry play an important role in the life of Moscow and help to create a high quality urban environment.

The Moscow mayor is positive that Elektro 2020 will generate a considerable interest among industry professionals and will help to expand business contacts, sign new agreements, and implement new joint projects.
