On 28-31 March, Expocentre Fairgrounds will host the 17th Photonics 2023 International Exhibition, where well-known Russian and international brands, together with young companies, will present the latest examples of laser equipment, optical products, components and materials to consumers involved in various economic sectors. The exhibition is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in cooperation with the Laser Association under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

This year over 160 companies from Armenia, Belarus, China and Russia will present their innovations and equipment on the area of over 2,900 sq. m. Zelenograd Development Corporation and Skolkovo Foundation will present group stands at Photonics 2023. Compared to last year, the exhibition has extended by 15%. 

The conference programme of Photonics 2023 includes 27 events. Scientific and practical conferences, sessions and panels will enable specialists to discuss the development of photonics in the new economic conditions, promising industry projects, opportunities for China-Russia cooperation in the field of photonics, human resources issues in the industry and other important topics.

All days of the exhibition will be dedicated to the Scientific and Practical Conference of the 11th Congress of Photonics Technology Platform, which will feature numerous sessions on key areas of the industry. These include: "Semiconductor Photonics. Nanophotonics", "Fibre optics and fibre optic components" and "Optical sensorics", "Photonics in medicine and life sciences", "Laser micromachining, engraving and marking", "Holographic technologies", "Photonics in agriculture and environmental management", "Quantum technologies" and many others. The focal point of the 11th Congress of Photonics Technology Platform will be the plenary session. In addition, the Council of Chief Technologists, TP and LAS 'Staffing the Industry' will take place.

Also as part of the conference programme, there will be an investment session entitled 'Key Technological Projects in Photonics', organised jointly with the industrial partners by the Photonics NTI Competence Centre at the Perm State National Research University (PSNRU). Scientists from the Photonics NTI Competence Centre will talk about the advantages of photonics over other technologies, security solutions being created, and the benefits of implementing photonics for businesses.
