Expocentre’s delegation has visited Chelyabinsk. Negotiations with the Chelyabinsk Business Development Fund Territory of Business took place on February 5. Expocentre presented its own exhibitions. The sides discussed main forms of support for regional companies and available participation formats.

Traditionally, the fund gives assistance to Agroprodmash, Mir Detstva and Mebel exhibitors. In 2020, Chelyabinsk companies will present the first group stand at Russian Construction Week 2020, which will be held at Expocentre Fairgrounds on March 31 – April 3 alongside the RosBuild 2020 exhibition.

Later that day, the delegation met with Chelyabinsk Region Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Glukharyov to discuss various forms of cooperation and ministry support for regional companies promoting their goods on new markets via Expocentre’s exhibition.

On February 6, Expocentre AO and the South Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a panel dedicated to the promotion of products of regional companies in the Russian and foreign markets via Expocentre’s trade shows. The event was attended by heads of over 40 regional companies, as well as Svetlana Shneider of the Chelyabinsk Business Development Fund Territory of Business, and Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department of the South Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry Natalia Osipova.

In the course of the panel, the Expocentre representatives presented such leading industry shows as Neftegaz, Technoforum, Reklama, and Elektro, and new projects the RENWEX International Exhibition for Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles, and the RUSWELD International Exhibition for Welding and Cutting Equipment, Technologies and Materials. Emphasis was put on Russian Construction Week.

Chelyabinsk companies remain the leading regional participants in Expocentre’s trade shows in terms of the number of exhibitors and the scale of showcase.

Subsidized participation of small and medium sized companies in trade shows is an issue of particular relevance. Advisor to the Expocentre Director General Darya Baryshnikova told the audience about the existent forums of support, organisation of group stands and pavilions by business support institutions of other regions, and the substantial increase in the number of regional stands at Expocentre exhibitions. The meeting participants said they wished to exhibit their goods with the support of the Territory of Business Fund. Local businesses and the fund established many of their contacts in the course of the panel.

Chelyabinsk businessmen shared their exhibiting experience and received plenty of useful information about ways to bolster the efficiency of showcases. After the panel, heads of some Chelyabinsk enterprises held direct negotiations with the Expocentre representatives about their participation in 2020 shows. The sides lauded the event for being highly informative and well-governed and having obvious practical value for the development of regional businesses.
