Today, the 14th Russian Assembly of Professionals in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industries took place on the opening day of Russian Health Care Week 2022. The event is organised by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Rosmedprom Association, the OPORA RUSSIA Non-Government Association, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of EXPOCENTRE AO.

In his greeting to the congress participants, Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health Care of the Russian Federation, noted that the work aimed at modernisation and improvement of production of quality and effective medicines and medical devices creates conditions for their transition to an innovative model of functioning, which is the main objective of the state policy on development of the national pharmaceutical and medical industry.

The primary role in this, in his opinion, is played by the interaction between the state and the business community to support the investment activity of enterprises, to develop regulatory and legal acts in the field of circulation of medicines and medical devices, as well as to consider issues of state support for domestic producers and localisation of medical products in the Russian Federation.

The minister urged the assembly participants to develop proposals for accelerated solution of health care problems at the present stage, to discuss the most important issues related to the prospects of medical products manufacturing and the strategy of innovative development of the industry.

The delegates of the congress considered the main directions of development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry, the regulatory framework for the circulation of medicines and medical devices within the EAEU, as well as the promotion of medicines and medical devices on the Russian and foreign markets.
