The Committee on Exhibition, Fair, and Convention Activity of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold an enlarged online meeting on January 28, 2021, at 10.00 Moscow time. The video conference will use the TrueConf platform. The meeting is part of the preparations for the 8th Chamber Assembly and the St. Petersburg Eurasian Event Forum (EFEA).
The topic of the discussion is Hybrid Exhibitions and Congresses: the Present and the Future. The main report will be delivered by Committee Chair and Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO Sergey Bednov.
The Covid-19 pandemic has become one of the reasons for the intensified digital transformation of the exhibition industry. During the meeting, committee members and industry experts will share practical experiences of effectively combining online and offline formats and organizing hybrid exhibitions and congresses.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Export Center, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, Russian regional authorities, regional chambers of commerce and industry, unions and associations, and the exhibition, business and research communities.
It will be one of the key events of the EFEA anniversary edition, which is to be held on January 27–29, 2021. The forum will be devoted to the topic of Cooperation as a Strategy in Uncertain Circumstances, and will cover four sectors of the event industry: Exhibition Industry, Regional Marketing, Meeting Industry, and Event Management.
